If we could bottle up the weather and sky that we had at Jen & Laramie’s wedding last month at The Bridges Golf Club, we would! Typically, [July] and August weddings are hot, humid and just downright miserable to be outside for photos. We all got a teaser of traditional “Fall” weather for their wedding day - cool morning, low/no humidity, high temperature in the 80’s and then chilling back off again in the evening. Oh, and don’t forget the blue skies and giant puffy clouds!
The girls started getting ready at the Groom’s parents’ home in nearby New Oxford, PA. There was a full breakfast spread for everyone to enjoy, plus Mimosas in the Bridesmaid’s personalized glasses. We didn’t have to travel far to the Wedding Venue, where the girls finished getting ready and dressed.
The Groomsmen met at the venue dressed & ready to go! The Bride & Groom planned a First Look [see our helpful blog article 3 Reasons to Consider a First Look] so we set that up just behind the tent at the venue to give the couple as much privacy as we could for this special moment. We snapped some of the Bridal Party and Family portraits before the ceremony and then tucked everyone inside the clubhouse before guests began to arrive.
The Officiant was a former co-worker of the Bride and did a wonderful job of uniting the couple in marriage. We finished up a few more family portraits after the ceremony and then endeavored onto the Fairway with our golf carts to check out some of the venue’s namesake Bridges for photos with the Newlyweds.
After checking out the course, we got the Bride & Groom back for their grand entrance at the Reception. They had a great time dancing with their guests and we even got to sneak them back out onto the green for a few sunset photos (with the help of the Groom’s sister). They ended the evening with an after party at the Green Horizon Grill at the Golf Course.
Congratulations again, Mr & Mrs Smith!
